Mark Higginson, MS, CCC-SLP
Mark grew up in Sahuarita, south of Tucson, Arizona. He loves the desert, and loves desert tortoises.
His first degree and career was in sign language interpreting. He enjoys languages, interacting with people, and helping them as best as he can. So, speech-language pathology was a very natural career move from interpreting. He was introduced to the field of speech therapy by his wife, Kristina, who is co-owner of Speech Solutions.
While in graduate school, Mark became very interested in the medical side of speech therapy. Mark has also always been inclined to own his own business (such as “Aloha! Mobile-Detailing”, the car waxing business that sustained him throughout his undergraduate schooling). Combine Mark’s interests in the medical world with his love of languages and people, add in his entrepreneurial spirit and back it all up with an endlessly supportive wife, and what do you get?
